A different trigger mechanism from a standard ATS: this one watches your solar battery's voltage rather than just detecting a blackout. When the battery drops below a programmed cut-off, it switches the load to KPLC, once the battery recovers past a set recovery point, it switches back to solar.
The cut-off and recovery points are both adjustable, and the connected battery is what powers the controller itself. Rated 11kW at 220V, or 5.5kW at 110V, which works out to the 50A the spec sheet lists, auto-sensing between 100-120V and 220-240V input.
It handles 12V, 24V or 48V DC battery banks including lithium, and an LCD shows real-time battery voltage plus the working status of grid, inverter and battery together. Built for off-grid and hybrid solar setups where you'd rather protect the battery than run it flat before falling back to KPLC, a different priority from the source-loss detection the TOMZN switches elsewhere in this range use.
