Four independently managed bays cover Li-ion, IMR and LiFePO4 lithium chemistries from a small 10440 up to a large 26650, plus NiMH and NiCd cells in AA, AAA, SC and C sizes, which between them account for the great majority of rechargeable cylindrical batteries found in a typical household, from flashlights and remote controls through to power tools and cordless gadgets. That range means one charger genuinely replaces what would otherwise be two or three separate single-purpose units sitting in a drawer.
An LCD display shows charge progress per bay in 25 percent steps, giving a rough but useful sense of how far along each cell is, and the unit auto-detects whether an inserted cell is Li-ion or NiMH and adjusts its charging profile accordingly. LiFePO4 and 3.85V high-voltage lithium cells are the exception, since those chemistries need a manually selected charging mode rather than automatic detection, as they use different voltage cutoffs than standard 3.7V lithium.
